channel cut short

After 14 hours of swimming the English Channel, John Kearney's quest was cut short. He had pulled a muscle earlier in the day and battled on regardless. However the Skipper of the boat decided that it was unsafe for John to continue as the tides were pulling him off course.

John is now recovering on the boat. His fans are disappointed for him but also very proud of his accomplishment. We look forward to having him back to celebrate his efforts.

Well done on your effort John.
That's 13 hours and 59 minutes more than I could have done.

Get a warm drink.

Fantastic accomplishment John.

After the warm drink that Pat has suggested I think you should have one or two cold ones too...

Well done John,

Most people would never even dream of being able to achieve something like swimming for 14 hours. Your committment and enthusiasm are an inspiration for others. Im sure the charities you are raising money for are not bothered whether you reached the other side or not. Good on you!

Belinda.
